🛡️ Shack Shield – Optional Damage Forgiveness Plan ($10 per person)
Yak Shack offers Shack Shield — an optional damage plan that helps reduce costs from accidental damage to rental gear during normal use.
- Includes up to $200 worth of accidental damage forgiveness for items like boats, bikes, paddles, life jackets, and helmets.
- Only applies to gear that is returned to Yak Shack — even if damaged.
- Does not include missing, lost, or stolen items.
- Does not apply to damage caused by misuse, intentional harm, or negligence.
If any item is not returned, full replacement charges will apply, regardless of Shack Shield.
This plan is not insurance, and no third-party coverage is provided. Shack Shield simply helps reduce your out-of-pocket costs if rented gear is accidentally damaged and returned.

- Inner Tube (canvas-covered): $100
- Kayak / Paddleboard / Canoe: $400 / $500 / $600
- Bicycle: $300
